Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team! Starting two days a week, Tuesdays and Fridays. In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional patient care by performing professional dental cleanings, assessments, and preventive treatments. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews, to ensure safe treatment planning. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to foster long-term dental health. Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures and provide compassionate care tailored to pediatric dentistry when applicable. Maintain a sterile environment by following infection control standards, including proper sterilization of instruments. Document all patient interactions, treatments, and observations thoroughly in accordance with dental terminology and medical coding standards. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Proven experience in general dentistry. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently during various dental procedures. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to pediatric patients when needed.
