Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Matthews, NC
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials. Prepare and maintain the treatment room, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as required. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. Manage patient records using dental software systems Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering when necessary. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the practice. Skills Proficiency in Prosthodontics, General Dentistry, and Pediatric Dentistry is preferred. Experience with 3D scanners is a plus. Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
