Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure all equipment adheres to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring accurate positioning and patient comfort. Provide chairside assistance by handling dental materials, preparing instruments, and supporting the dentist throughout procedures. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and managing medical records efficiently. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to ensure precise communication within the team. Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions to promote optimal outcomes. Collaborate effectively within a four-handed dentistry setup to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques with experience in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Familiarity with infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and sterilization protocols in accordance with industry standards. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners accurately and safely. Excellent understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental practice. Experience working as a dental receptionist or supporting administrative functions within a dental clinic environment. Competence in medical coding related to dental procedures for accurate billing and insurance claims processing. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times. Effective communication skills to interact professionally with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics when necessary. Ability to work efficiently within a team environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care through four-handed dentistry.
