Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments by providing chairside support Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety standards Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations Manage patient flow and assist with scheduling appointments as needed Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Perform vital signs checks and assist in medical imaging when necessary Support pediatric dentistry procedures with knowledge of child-specific needs Engage in four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures Skills Proficient in using dental software Opendental . Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices 4-5 years Experience with chairside assisting techniques and aseptic technique application Familiarity with various dental specialties including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics Ability to perform medical documentation accurately and maintain organized medical records Knowledge of medical coding principles is a plus Experience using 3D scanners for imaging is advantageous Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members Join our team as a Dental Assistant where you will contribute to creating positive patient experiences while advancing your career in the dental field.
