Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform comprehensive dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and patient assessment techniques. The Dental Hygienist will play a vital role in promoting oral health and supporting our team in delivering high-quality dental services. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth and removing plaque and calculus using ultrasonic scalers and hand instruments Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates Assist with medical imaging procedures like X-rays while ensuring proper aseptic techniques are followed Conduct patient assessments to evaluate oral health status and identify potential issues Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and preventive care strategies Document treatment procedures accurately within Open Dental Support pediatric dentistry services by providing gentle care tailored to childrenâs needs Maintain infection control standards according to HIPAA regulations and OSHA guidelines Ensure all clinical areas are sterile, organized, and compliant with aseptic techniques Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and medical terminology Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards diverse patient populations including pediatrics Familiarity with HIPAA compliance, documentation review, and dental software Knowledge of general dentistry procedures and dental assisting techniques Ability to work effectively within a team environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety standards Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $55.00 - $75.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Employee discount Flexible schedule Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Relocation assistance Vision insurance Work Location: In person
