Job Summary Privately owned dental practice in McKinney, TX seeking an enthusiastic registered dental assistant. We are looking to hire a team-oriented and detailed dental assistant who will fit into and grow with our dental family. As the right-hand-man of the dentist, the ideal candidate will be customer service oriented, exhibit confidence and professionalism, have good hand skills, be able to think and work quickly, and have a positive attitude. Requirements: Completion of an accredited dental assisting program Current Texas RDA license Current CPR certification A warm and friendly personality Top-notch communication skills Must be able to multitask Must have high attention to detail Be able to think critically on the spot Be able to pick up new tasks quickly Get along well with others We are looking for someone flexible and open to cross training if needed to help the office run as efficiently as possible. Tasks include but are not limited to: Greeting patients after they check in and walking them to and from their rooms Taking vital signs and reviewing health history Maintaining dental records and charting Taking dental xrays Intraoral scanning Chairside assisting Providing patients with instructions for oral care following treatment Setting up and breaking down rooms Sterilizing instruments and equipment Managing all compliance and maintenance (autoclave, lines, etc) Ensuring a clean, organized, and well-stocked dental workplace and office Administrative tasks if needed (answering phone calls, scheduling/confirming appointments) Maintaining a smooth office flow **Experience with Open Dental preferred** **1-2 years of experience preferred** Offering a very competitive pay, dependent on experience.
