Duties Assist dentists during various procedures including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly Take and develop X-rays and medical imaging, ensuring accurate positioning and safety protocols are followed Record vital signs and update patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Manage medical documentation, coding, and electronic health records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Educate patients on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist when needed Assist with advanced procedures involving 3D scanners or other specialized dental technology Ensure compliance with all safety protocols related to anatomy knowledge, medical imaging, and infection control Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; familiarity with medical coding and documentation is a plus Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately; certification preferred Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and various dental specialties including pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and support team collaboration Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Certification in CPR or basic life support (BLS) is desirable but not mandatory This position provides a rewarding opportunity for motivated individuals committed to delivering high-quality dental care while advancing their professional skills within a supportive team environment.
