Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including restorative, surgical, and hygiene appointments Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and setting up instruments, equipment, and materials Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately and efficiently Record and maintain accurate patient charts, treatment notes, and medical histories in the dental software Provide excellent chairside support to ensure patient comfort and a smooth clinical flow Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care instructions Maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols in compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines Manage inventory of dental supplies and materials, notifying the office manager when stock is low Perform basic lab tasks such as pouring models, trimming casts, and fabricating temporary crowns or trays (if applicable) Assist with patient scheduling, check-in, and treatment coordination as needed Ensure operatories and common areas are clean, organized, and ready for the next patient Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, team members, and the dentist Follow all office policies, safety procedures, and patient privacy regulations (HIPAA compliance Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour Benefits: Dental insurance Employee discount On-the-job training Paid time off Profit sharing Experience: Dental assisting: 2 years (Required) License/Certification: Registered Dental Assistant (Required) Ability to Commute: Houston, TX 77021 (Required) Work Location: In person
