Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. Duties Supervise and mentor the clinical team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and maintain a sterile working environment. Oversee the preparation and maintenance of medical documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist in the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures. Provide direct patient care, including dental assisting duties such as taking impressions, performing adjustments, and managing medical imaging. Utilize Dentrix software for patient management, scheduling, and documentation. Collaborate with orthodontists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Conduct training sessions on medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and best practices in dental assisting. Experience Must have experience working as a Dental Assistant. Proven experience in orthodontics or related dental fields is preferred. Familiarity with prosthodontics, medical coding, and medical documentation is advantageous. Strong understanding of infection control standards and practices within a clinical setting. Proficient in using Dentrix software for efficient practice management. Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy is essential for effective communication within the team and with patients. Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a clinical environment is highly desirable.
