Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing exceptional patient care, maintaining high standards of infection control, and supporting the overall efficiency of the dental team. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment utilizing advanced dental technology and EMR systems. Candidates with strong knowledge of dental terminology, pediatric dentistry, and experience with dental office software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix are highly preferred. The position is full-time and includes comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions Maintain accurate documentation of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Review medical records for completeness and accuracy prior to procedures Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to patient care and treatment planning Ensure the sterilization of dental instruments and adherence to infection control standards in accordance with OSHA guidelines Collaborate with dentists on treatment planning, including medical coding and documentation review for billing purposes Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or other EMR systems Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and aseptic techniques Experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred; familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus Ability to perform vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and chairside assisting effectively Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach toward diverse patient populations including pediatrics Knowledge of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and medical records management Prior experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment is highly desirable Strong understanding of medical terminology, documentation review, and medical coding processes This position offers a rewarding opportunity for licensed Dental Hygienists committed to delivering high-quality patient care within a professional setting.
