Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will support dentists and hygienists by providing exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring smooth patient flow, and maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental materials, and ensuring all equipment is ready for procedures. Assist dentists during a variety of dental treatments, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take dental X-rays using digital imaging technology such as 3D scanners, adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft , ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor vital signs and medical history of patients to support safe treatment planning. Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions while demonstrating professionalism and compassion. Skills Experience preferred, but not necessary, will train the right person. Proficiency in Dental Terminology, Medical Terminology, and Anatomy Knowledge to communicate effectively with team members and patients. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation efficiently. Strong understanding of Infection Control procedures, Aseptic Technique, and sterilization standards in a dental clinic environment. Ability to perform chairside assisting with Four-Handed Dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Knowledge of Dental Assisting best practices including X-ray techniques, Vital Signs measurement, and Medical Imaging procedures. Familiarity with Pediatric Dentistry protocols to provide age-appropriate care for children. Excellent organizational skills for managing Medical Coding, Dental Records, and Medical Documentation accurately in compliance with HIPAA standards. Join us in delivering exceptional dental care!
