Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies while maintaining aseptic techniques Take dental X-rays, ensuring patient safety and comfort Record vital signs and medical history information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems Manage patient flow by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and updating medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on oral health care and post-treatment instructions Operate dental imaging equipment including 3D scanners and other medical imaging tools Maintain infection control standards and sterilize instruments according to OSHA guidelines Support administrative tasks such as dental reception duties and managing medical documentation Assist with complex procedures across specialties including endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Skills Proficiency in dental practice management software Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols Experience with chairside assisting during various dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices Ability to operate X-ray machines safely and effectively while ensuring patient safety Familiarity with medical imaging devices like 3D scanners and vital signs monitoring equipment Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and coordinate with team members Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This position is integral to providing comprehensive dental care while supporting the clinical team through technical expertise and compassionate patient interaction.
