About Us: Grinville Dental Clinic is a newly established After-Hours & Emergency dental practice in Griffin, GA, dedicated to providing exceptional dental care in a modern, patient-focused environment. Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience as a dental assistant, with experience using Open Dental practice management software considered a plus. Experience in assisting with dental surgeries is an asset. This role involves providing essential support to our dental professionals, ensuring a smooth workflow, and delivering excellent patient care. The position primarily includes Day Shifts & some rotating Saturday hours. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Assistance: -Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including cleanings, fillings, and extractions. -Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols. -Take and develop dental X-rays as needed. -Provide chairside assistance and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures. -Prepare and maintain treatment rooms for patient procedures. Patient Care: -Greet and prepare patients for their appointments, addressing their needs and concerns. -Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. -Monitor patient reactions during procedures and communicate any concerns to the dentist. Office Support: -Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records using Open Dental practice management software (experience with this software is a plus). -Assist with inventory management and ordering of dental supplies. -Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and procedures. Surgical Assistance: -Assist in dental surgeries and complex procedures, providing support and managing instruments and materials. -Prepare surgical trays and ensure all necessary equipment is available and functioning. Additional Duties: -Maintain a clean and organized work environment. -Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with dental practices and technologies. Qualifications: -Minimum of 1 year of experience as a dental assistant. -Experience with Open Dental practice management software is a plus. -Previous experience assisting with dental surgeries is an asset. -Strong knowledge of dental procedures, tools, and sterilization techniques. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. -Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. -High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
