Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Kirkland, WA

Overview We are seeking a outgoing, fun and dedicated Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our growing team . The ideal candidate would enjoy working with children and is open to learning and growing with us. This role involves providing exceptional patient care in a friendly, welcoming environment, supporting dentists with chairside assisting, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Experience with Open dental software is preferred, along with a solid understanding of HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols. Previous experience working in the dental field is required . The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to working with children. Duties Cleaning children's teeth and taking x-rays, applying fluoride varnish Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques and infection control standards. Provide chairside assistance during procedures including four-handed dentistry and dental terminology explanations to young patients. Maintain accurate medical documentation, records, and coding in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling dental receptionist duties. Educate patients on oral health care tailored for pediatric needs and ensure a positive experience for children and their families. Adhere to all infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment within the dental clinic. Qualifications Prior experience in dental assisting and working with children Proficiency with EMR systems such as Open dental Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, dental terminology, and infection control standards. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Certification in dental assisting or related training is required; additional specialization in pediatric dentistry is desirable.
