Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Anacortes, WA

Our dental office is busy and growing with a need for a dedicated assistant to work with our dentists and hygienists to provide exemplary dental care for our patients. Our ideal candidate has 3 years of dental practice experience in an assisting role, has a current RDA license, and is excellent at customer service, organization, and communication skills. Compensation: $24 + DOE Responsibilities: Assure all dental office infection control policies and safety regulations are met by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments after use Assist dentists and dental hygienists during any procedures or examinations by handing off dental instruments, providing suction, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team Answer any questions the patient may have about dental hygiene, schedule appointments for patient care follow up, and provide postoperative instructions with methods for infection control of the patientsâ teeth and gums, after procedures Prepare and layout sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materials inside treatment rooms for examinations and dental procedures Evaluate and document vital signs and medical history for patient records, take x-rays of patientsâ mouths, and apply a topical anesthetic for dental procedures, if needed Qualifications: Proficiency with computers, and experience updating patient histories, and with dental software is necessary Experience with dental software, updating patient histories, and computer skills are needed Need state licensure as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) About Company Our tight-knit practice is growing and looking for the right person to complete our team!
