Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice 2 to 3 days a week. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team by providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to assist with various dental procedures. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready. Take and develop X-rays as directed by the dentist, adhering to safety protocols. Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up calls to ensure patient satisfaction. Collaborate with the dental team to maintain an organized and efficient work environment. Experience Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is required, experience in endodontic procedures is a plus. Familiarity with dental terminology, infection control practices, and general dentistry procedures is essential. Ability to take vital signs accurately and respond appropriately to patient needs.
