RDH Dental Hygienist - near Legends KCK area - Amazing Smiles of Kansas City - Kansas City, KS

**Position is open because one current RDH has decided not to come back from her maternity leave. She is staying on for as long as possible, to train our new teammate for the best success!! Dr. Kelly McCracken and the Amazing Smiles team are looking for a four-day/week (M-Th) hygienist to join our other FT hygienist. This is a solo doctor, small, NON-corporate practice focused on our practice beliefs - "QUALITY. HONESTY. EDUCATION." We are looking for... Calm, friendly chairside manner Passion for patient education Self-motivated, honest, with good work ethic. Efficient and timely with patient care. Comfortable working with digital technology for patient education. Willing to be a team player in our small practice; you have autonomy over your patient room and communication with patients for recall intervals. Comfort with explaining periodontal disease, completing a thorough oral cancer exam, reviewing medical histories and explaining links with periodontal health, recommending and completing SRP therapy, fluoride treatments, sealants, etc. Current Kansas dental hygiene license (required). Local anesthetic administration. Hygienists at Amazing Smiles get the opportunity to utilize their dental knowledge and expand their caregiving – our hygienists may help with triaging emergency patient appointments, or informative new patient appointments. CLINICALLY: we use digital sensors, intraoral cameras, CBCT (3D) and iTero digital impressions. We will get you trained if you are unfamiliar!! :-) ADMINISTRATIVELY: we use Open Dental patient management system, Flex patient communication, iPads for consent/check-in. Our patient hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8-5; on Wednesday: 8-5 (HYG only from 8-11am). Lunch break from 12-1 and typically adult prophy patients with exam are scheduled for an hour. You are expected to arrive 15-30 minutes before your first patient for preparation.
