We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in helping our patients maintain optimal oral health. You will work closely with our dental team to provide comprehensive dental hygiene care and education to patients of all ages. Responsibilities: Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing, to remove plaque, stains, and tartar. Conduct oral health assessments and screenings to identify and record any oral conditions, including periodontal disease, cavities, and oral cancer. Take and develop dental x-rays as necessary, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and nutrition, to promote optimal dental health. Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation, as required, to ensure patient comfort during dental procedures. Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, providing support and anticipating the dentist's needs. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and medical histories. Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment, following strict infection control protocols. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental hygiene techniques, technologies, and best practices. Requirements: Valid Dental Hygiene license in [state/region] (or eligibility to obtain one). Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program. Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a dental practice or clinic setting (new graduates are welcome to apply). Proficiency in performing dental prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, and oral health assessments. Excellent knowledge of dental instruments and equipment, including x-ray machines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively educate and communicate with patients. Ability to work well within a team environment and collaborate with dental professionals.
