Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Mercer Island, WA

Overview We are seeking an exceptional dental hygienist for our well-established practice on Mercer Island for Thursdays, Fridays and 2 half Saturdays/month. The qualified candidate will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of hygiene, patient care, and clinical excellence. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and polishing to promote optimal oral health. Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review. Expose digital radiographs while adhering to infection control standards. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and preventive care tailored to patients of all ages. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness. Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a safe clinical environment. Collaborate with dentists and other team members to deliver comprehensive dental care. Ensure the office adheres to all OSHA standards, including infection control and sterilization procedures. Qualifications Valid state license as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification. Current Hepatitis B vaccine. Proficient with dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar EMR system. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices. Experience in general dentistry with additional skills in geriatric dentistry preferred. Familiarity with digital radiographic techniques and vital signs monitoring. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to all ages. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and data security.
