Dental Assistant (Part-Time or Full-Time) General Dentistry We are looking for a dependable, team-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice Smilewell. This role is available part-time or full-time and is best suited for someone who values teamwork, efficiency, and high-quality patient care. Required Experience Experience assisting in general dentistry, including restorative (fillings, crowns, bridge, implant crown, fabricating temporary crown), digital dentistry (digital impression using iTero), radiography (including CBCT), and prophylaxis. Comfortable with chairside assisting, dental instruments, and materials Knowledge of sterilization and infection control protocols Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment Key Responsibilities Chairside assisting during doctor’s procedures Preparing and breaking down operatories Taking dental X-rays Maintaining sterilization and operatory cleanliness Maintaining inventory lists for clinical and office supplies Creating and submitting supply orders to ensure adequate materials are always available Supporting patient flow to keep the schedule on time Teamwork & Flexibility (Required) Must be willing to assist the hygiene team when needed, including helping seat patients, room turnover, perio chart, tray set up or supporting hygiene during downtime Willingness to help other team members as needed to maintain office efficiency Team-first mindset with a positive, professional attitude Preferred (Not Required) Experience or exposure to: Root canal, Invisalign (attachments, taking records), Implant surgery, Dental photography Interest in learning and growing within a modern dental practice Schedule & Employment Type Part-time or full-time available M, W: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM T, Th: 8:30 AM to 5 PM F: 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM One Saturday per month in the near future In-office position Schedule to be discussed based on availability and office needs Benefits (Full-Time Employees) 401(k) Paid holidays Paid time off (PTO) Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: From $20.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Paid time off Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: Radiology Certification (Required) Ability to Commute: North Bethesda, MD 20852 (Required) Work Location: In person
