Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to ensure safe and effective treatment. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs. Take X-rays and 3D images Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems like DSN ensuring HIPAA compliance. Review documentation for accuracy and update patient files. Support infection control standards by following sterilization procedures and maintaining a sterile environment in accordance with OSHA guidelines. Monitor patient vital signs before procedures to ensure safety during treatment sessions. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care. Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental clinic or office setting. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Knowledge of medical terminology and records management for comprehensive patient care documentation. Certified to deliver local anesthetic when needed.
