We are a privately owned, family practice dental office seeking a full time Experienced Dental Assistant to join our amazing team in Shorewood, WI. Pay starts at $20.00+ per hour based upon experience. Full benefits for full-time employment, including paid vacation, health insurance, and 401k. Budget allowance for uniforms. Responsibilities : Assist the dentist during patient procedures and exams Prepare and sterilize dental instruments Take dental x-rays Educate patients on proper dental hygiene and care Preparing treatment plan estimates Maintain patient records and assist with scheduling Ensure a clean and organized work environment Support the dental team in various administrative tasks as needed Maintain OSHA and HIPAA standards of care in accordance with state requirements. Requirements: Dental Assistant certification or experience in a dental office is required. Dependable and reliable with strong attention to detail Energetic and positive attitude Team-oriented and willing to collaborate with colleagues Experience in dental assisting is preferred but not required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle a fast-paced environment Willingness to learn and grow with the practice Experience with Oral Scanner also a plus Qualifications: Basic computer knowledge Knowledge of dental instruments Excellent customer service and leadership skills Ability to multitask efficiently Knowledge of Open Dental or other dental software Knowledge of treatment planning a plus Additional assistant duties that would be very welcome, but not required for an applicant, could include making temporary crowns, taking impressions, etc. We would be more than willing to train a determined applicant for expanded duties. Expanded duties would be a path to an increased wage. Meaning if an employee can demonstrate consistent high-quality execution of duties without help from the dentist.
