Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dental Office Business Assistant to support our dental practice's administrative and operational functions. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental billing, coding, and office management, with proficiency in various dental programs/software. This role involves managing patient records, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and providing exceptional patient service to ensure smooth clinic operations. Bilingual skills and prior dental clinic experience are highly valued to enhance communication and patient care. Responsibilities Manage patient intake, appointment scheduling, and front desk operations with professionalism and efficiency. Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing using systems such as Eaglesoft, Vyne and RevenueWell. Review and update medical records accurately. Perform insurance verification and authorization processes to ensure timely reimbursement. Maintain accurate documentation review for billing and clinical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards. Provide excellent patient service by answering multi-line phone systems, managing inquiries with proper phone etiquette, and assisting patients with questions or concerns. Support office management functions such as filing, data entry (10 key typing), and maintaining organized medical files. Assist with administrative tasks including documentation review, health information management, and clerical support for the dental team. Collaborate with clinical team to ensure care plans are accurately documented and communicated. Utilize computer skills to operate office equipment efficiently while maintaining a professional environment. Skills Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Proven experience in dental office management or medical administrative support within a clinical setting. Familiarity with health information management standards including HIPAA compliance. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; bilingual abilities are a plus. Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for documentation and reporting tasks. Strong organizational skills for filing, documentation review, and office management duties. Experience with medical billing processes including insurance verification and claim submission is preferred. Knowledge of dental clinic operations including intake procedures and front desk responsibilities is highly desirable.
