Treatment Coordinator
The Treatment Coordinator acts as the central liaison in patient care, connecting referring doctors, treating doctors, and patients. This role involves actively working with and advocating for patients needing dental treatment. As a Treatment Coordinator, you facilitate communication between dentists and patients, guiding them on dental decisions, scheduling appointments, providing information about care, and addressing any inquiries patients may have during their treatment process. Additionally, the coordinator undertakes various administrative tasks daily, such as adjusting schedules due to last-minute cancellations, managing phone calls, and assisting with closing the office at the end of the day.
The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of dental implants and periodontal treatment and be capable of effectively conveying this knowledge to patients and other dental professionals. The coordinator may also participate in discussions with dentists and referring doctors about necessary procedures.

**Coordinator Responsibilities:**
- Develop treatment plans based on the dentist's instructions.
- Present treatment plans to patients, addressing questions to ensure understanding.
- Schedule treatments following the presentation of treatment plans.
- Collect, verify, and file Surgical Consent Forms.
- Provide Pre/Post-Operative instructions before surgeries and respond to inquiries.
- Accurately collect and document surgical fees.
- Coordinate treatment schedules and follow-ups with the Restorative Dentist.
- Perform CT scans for patients as needed, filing and processing them according to office policies.
- Take impressions for surgical stents when an assistant is unavailable.
- Communicate with patients to confirm, modify, or reschedule appointments as needed.
- Support the administration team in their communication with patients and other dental offices.
- Assist in managing the inventory of specific periodontal instruments and components.

**Required Skills:**
- General knowledge of major dental office management systems, particularly Open Dental.
- Familiarity with Dexis.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills, whether in person, on the phone, or via email.
- At least 2 years of back-office experience with a strong understanding of dental terminology and periodontological procedures.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Basic understanding of dental insurance operations.
-Training will be provided in the first few months of the position to allow for calibration within office protocols. It is critical that the person in this position follow set protocols.
