Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Las Vegas, NV

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice! The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient care abilities, and proficiency with dental software systems. Experience with pediatric dentistry, infection control, and dental documentation is highly valued. Duties Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories to ensure safe treatment planning. Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment recommendations. Take and develop dental imaging such as X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records in EMR systems, including dental coding when necessary. Monitor infection control procedures following HIPAA guidelines to ensure a sterile environment. Review medical and dental records for completeness and accuracy, supporting comprehensive patient care. Collaborate with dentists and other team members to deliver comprehensive general dentistry services, including pediatric dentistry when applicable. Ensure compliance with all dental terminology standards and assist in documentation review for billing or legal purposes. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting, with familiarity using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Oryx is even better. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice. Strong understanding of dental hygiene procedures and documentation review processes. Prior experience in dental office or clinic settings demonstrating proficiency in patient care, vital signs measurement, and medical imaging techniques. Certification or licensure as a Dental Hygienist required; ongoing education in dental terminology and infection control is preferred.
