Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Surprise, AZ
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. We are looking for a part time assistant at this time to work Tuesdays and Thursdays. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry and endodontics. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging and impressions when necessary. Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including acting as a dental receptionist. Ensure the dental office is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Stay updated on medical terminology and anatomy knowledge relevant to dental practices. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix Knowledge of infection control practices and procedures is essential. Familiarity with X-ray technology and safety protocols is required. Strong understanding of general dentistry principles, endodontics, and anatomy knowledge. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills are highly valued.
