Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Gilbert, AZ
We are looking for a dental assistant who can work at our office four days a week (Tuesday through Friday), the hours are roughly 7:30 am to 5pm with a lunch break (occasional GA days start at 5am). Qualifications · A team player with a positive attitude who wants to join our pediatric dental facility · X-ray certified · Have a high school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program preferred · Friendly, great with children, have a strong work ethic, professional and be able to multitask · Able to learn quickly and be self-motivated · Willing to contribute to the growth of the practice Responsibilities · Organize and sterilize dental instruments and patient treatment areas based on OSHA standards · Set up treatment rooms and assist the dentist with procedures · Collect and document accurate patient records · Prepare instruments; clean treatment areas; sterilize equipment · Responsible for patient flow, keeping treatment rooms neat and organized · Take diagnostic x-rays requested by the dentist using coaching technique · Apply cavity-preventative agents, such as fluoride and sealants · Equipment Maintenance - Perform routine maintenance on equipment · Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in team settings · Maintain regular attendance and adhere to assigned work schedule and office policies · Perform thorough and gentle oral prophylaxis for patients · Take impressions and perform basic lab duties · Provide basic oral hygiene instructions · Ability to multitask, take initiative and anticipate the needs of others · Be able to communicate clearly with patients and their family while always maintaining a professional conduct · Assist in maintaining adequate dental supply inventories and any other dental duties as assigned Experience Experience with Open Dental preferred At least one year of dental assisting experience Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour Benefits: On-the-job training Referral program Uniform allowance Ability to Commute: Gilbert, AZ 85298 (Required) Work Location: In person
