Carter Smile is a growing multi-specialty practice offering both pediatric dental and orthodontic care in a single location. We are looking to hire an experienced orthodontic assistant to join our energetic and cohesive team. Our new, state-of-the-art facility utilizes the latest in technology, including Nomad, iTero, and iCat, to provide our patients with the highest level of care available. Our practice has been professionally designed to create a happy and calming environment for both our team and patients alike. We pride ourselves on our upbeat and positive office culture, with our team leader being Callie, Dr. Carter’s adorable toy poodle, our certified therapy dog. We are looking to find a long-term teammate who shares our philosophy to provide the best possible care to our patients while delivering an unmatched experience from start to finish. Responsibilities Include: - Orthodontic Adjustments - Invisalign Checks and scans - Take scans using iTero Scanner - Prepare teeth for Phase I, II and Comprehensive Bondings and Invisalign Attachments - Educate patients on best oral hygiene practices with orthodontics and all necessary instructions - Take, upload, and create orthodontic photos - Type patient notes in charts - Take and crop iCat x-rays - Handle Orthodontic Emergencies (poking wire, broken bracket, etc.) during office hours - Sterilization and prep for the clinical area for the next patient - Help manage lab cases: collect for the week ahead, send out bands and scans to labs, etc. - Daily set up and prep for all orthodontic patients - End-of-day clean up including cleaning chairs and area, helping with any end-of-day clinical needs, etc. - Help maintain the sterilization station - Help with weekly and monthly chair and sterilization machine maintenance - Help with orthodontic inventory, ordering, and organization of orthodontic bay - Other duties as assigned Qualifications: - Time Management -Strong problem-solving skills -Team player and strong communication skills Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off Experience: Ortho assistant: 1 year (Required) License/Certification: X-Ray Certification (Required) Ability to Commute: Madison, NJ 07940 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Madison, NJ 07940: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
