Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Mount Olive, NJ
Overview Looking for a fantastic dental assistant capable of assisting in all facets of general dentistry. Must be reliable, organized and a team player! Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies while maintaining aseptic techniques Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging as required Manage patient flow efficiently by scheduling appointments and updating medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance procedure efficiency Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing instruments and ensuring a sterile environment Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health best practices Support administrative tasks including dental reception duties when needed, managing patient inquiries and insurance documentation Stay current with advancements in dental technology such as 3D scanners and medical coding practices for accurate documentation Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely following radiation safety standards Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and team members Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is highly desirable Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This position provides an engaging environment for those passionate about delivering exceptional dental care while continuously expanding their technical skills.
