Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Edison, NJ
Overview Join our family dental team as a part-time or full-time Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will help create healthy, beautiful smiles! In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional patient care through thorough dental cleanings, assessments, and education. Youâll work closely with our dental professionals to ensure a smooth, efficient clinic environment while maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. We are a selective PPO/FFS office. Duties Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth and removing plaque and tartar using ultrasonic scalers and hand instruments Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review, to inform treatment planning Assist the dentist during procedures such as examinations, restorations, and pediatric dentistry treatments with four-handed dentistry techniques Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health Follow strict infection control procedures using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations Requirements Valid NJ state licensure as a Dental Hygienist Proven experience in general dentistry, or dental clinics with proficiency in dental terminology Familiarity with EMR l Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform chairside assisting effectively while managing multiple patients in a fast-paced environment Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach tailored to pediatric patients when necessary Flexible schedule between Edison and Monroe location 732-603-3900 Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Employee discount Flexible schedule Retirement plan Work Location: In person
