Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Knoxville, TN

We are seeking a KIND, fun, dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform comprehensive dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a clean and efficient clinical environment. Knowledge of EMR systems, infection control protocols, and dental terminology is essential. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar. Conduct patient assessments by recording vital signs and reviewing medical histories in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions. Take and develop dental radiographs using appropriate aseptic techniques and infection control standards. Collaborate with dentists during procedures involving general dentistry and pediatric dentistry cases. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care in Dentrix. Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a sterile environment. Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to patient records and appointment scheduling as needed. Requirements/Preferences Experience in dental office settings is preferred, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry preferred. Proficiency in dental software systems such Dentrix (can learn on the job). Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to all age groups, including pediatrics. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and dental terminology relevant to dental practice. Experience with imaging, vital signs monitoring, and documentation review is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment that emphasizes professionalism and quality care.
