Permanent Dental Assistant Job in New Bern, NC
Duties: - Assist the orthodontist in providing patient care and treatment during orthodontic procedures - X-ray certification required - Knowledge of how to sterilize and maintain orthodontic instruments and equipment - Assisting with patient scheduling and record keeping. - Assist with patient assessment, including taking dental impressions and X-rays - Taking impressions and/or Itero Scans for orthodontic appliances - Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care and communicate effectively with patients and their families to address questions and concerns. Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred - Orthodontic assisting experience required (no need to apply if you have not worked as an orthodontic assistant) - Current certification as a dental assistant or orthodontic assistant preferred - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality orthodontic care to our patients.
