Dental Assistant / Sterile Technician â Periodontics Practice (Full-Time) About the Position We are a busy, well-established periodontics and dental implant practice seeking a motivated Dental Assistant or Sterile Technician to join our clinical team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced surgical environment and values high standards of patient care, teamwork, and professionalism. Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) candidates are preferred, but we are willing to provide on-the-job training for the right candidate with a strong work ethic and desire to learn. Responsibilities Assist periodontists during surgical and implant procedures (training provided if needed) Sterilization and infection-control procedures following OSHA guidelines Prepare treatment rooms and seat patients Support treatment planning and patient flow Take dental radiographs (FMX and CBCT preferred; training available depending on role) Maintain accurate dental charting and documentation Provide direct patient interaction with a calm, professional demeanor Collaborate closely with doctors and clinical team members Qualifications RDA license preferred Prior dental experience strongly preferred (especially in oral surgery or periodontics) Will consider motivated entry-level candidates for sterile tech role Knowledge of dental terminology and basic assisting skills is a plus Ability to learn radiography (FMX and CBCT) CPR certification (must be current or obtained shortly after hire) Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols Excellent communication and teamwork skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred What Weâre Looking For Reliable, punctual, and professional Team-oriented mindset Comfortable in a surgical specialty environment Willingness to learn and grow within the practice Positive attitude and strong patient-care focus Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay: $14.00 â $18.00, depending on experience and credentials Full-time schedule (Monday to Thursday 7:30-5) Training provided for the right candidate Supportive, team-based work environment Opportunity to gain specialty surgical experience Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 â 40.0 per week Benefits: 401(k) Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Work Location: In person
