Position Summary We are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist who is passionate about patient care, education, and preventive dentistry. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and motivated to help patients achieve optimal oral and overall health while contributing to an outstanding patient experience. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental hygiene procedures including: Adult and pediatric prophylaxis Scaling and root planning (SRP) Periodontal maintenance Take and review dental radiographs (bitewings, PA’s, CBCT as indicated) Complete thorough periodontal charting and oral cancer screenings Educate patients on oral hygiene, periodontal health, and preventive care Apply preventive agents such as fluoride and antimicrobial treatments (e.g., Curodont when indicated) Accurately document clinical findings and treatment in the patient chart Collaborate closely with the dentist and clinical team to support diagnosis and treatment planning Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant operatory following OSHA and infection control guidelines Help create a comfortable, trusting, and positive experience for every patient Qualifications Current North Carolina Dental Hygiene License (required) CPR/BLS certification (required) Strong knowledge of periodontal therapy and preventive dentistry Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high clinical standards Experience with digital charting and radiography preferred Team-oriented mindset with a positive, professional attitude Schedule Full-time or part-time opportunities available Office hours: Tuesday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Paid holidays Paid time off Supportive, non-corporate private practice environment Opportunities for professional growth and continuing education Bonus and incentive opportunities tied to practice performance and patient experience Why Join Thrive Dental?
