Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Laguna Hills, CA
Weâre looking for a personable, detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team one day per week . Our ideal candidate is proactive, thorough, and genuinely invested in patient careânot just âcleaning teeth,â but helping patients understand their full oral health picture. What Youâll Do Perform high-quality prophylaxis, scaling & root planing, periodontal maintenance, laser, and patient education Carefully identify and document additional concerns such as: Tooth decay Cracks/fractures Orthodontic considerations (crowding, spacing, bite issues) Missing teeth Signs of sleep-disordered breathing / sleep apnea (training provided) Review medical history, update charts, and collaborate closely with the dentist on diagnosis and treatment planning Take digital X-rays and intraoral photos Provide an exceptional patient experience with a calm, warm, and professional demeanor Support a clean, organized operatory and maintain OSHA/CDC compliance What Weâre Looking For Active RDH license in California Strong communication and patient-education skills Someone who pays attention to detail Comfort with modern technology (digital X-rays, intraoral cameras, laser, digital scanning, dental software) A team player Interest in learning to screen for sleep-disordered breathing (we will train you) Schedule 1 day per week (exact day flexible) Opportunity for additional days in the future if desired Why Join Us Small, supportive, patient-focused team Modern, clean office with cutting-edge technology Competitive pay Job Type: Part-time Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour Work Location: In person
