Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a clean and efficient clinical environment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and adherence to all safety and infection control protocols. The Registered Dental Hygienist will collaborate closely with dentists and other team members to ensure optimal oral health outcomes for patients across all age groups, including pediatric dentistry. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth using aseptic techniques. Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and assess patient health status prior to procedures. Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies. Assist with medical imaging procedures such as X-rays, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed. Document patient information accurately in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix. Review medical records and documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support chairside assisting during various dental procedures, including general dentistry and pediatric dentistry cases. Maintain infection control standards by following strict sterilization protocols and aseptic techniques. Monitor patient comfort levels throughout treatment sessions and address concerns promptly. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient practice operations and exceptional patient care. Experience Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current state licensure. Prior experience working in a dental office or clinic setting, preferably with pediatric dentistry exposure. Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or other EMR systems. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and documentation review processes. Experience with infection control practices, medical imaging, vital signs measurement, and pediatrics is highly desirable. Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques, chairside assisting, and general dentistry procedures is preferred.
