Overview We are searching for a dedicated and caring Dental Assistant or Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) to join our dental team. We are a fee-for-service practice that places a lot of emphasis on doing ideal dentistry for each patient. We work closely with the specialists in our professional building and in our community to provide excellent multi-disciplinary care. We are dedicated to providing "that little extra" to each patient as we deliver the excellent care that they demand and deserve. Each day we maintain high standards of infection control and safety. We use digital radiographs, digital photographs, 3D scanning technology, CBCT imaging and electronic dental health records. The ideal candidate will have completed an Ohio radiography program for dentistry and will have CDT or DANB certification or EFDA licensure in good standing. Clinical experience is preferred. You will be joining a team of other skilled and caring providers who have been providing optimal care for our patient family for many years. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining aseptic techniques Make and develop radiographs while adhering to radiation safety protocols Record health update changes and dental findings using electronic records Provide chairside assistance including patient comfort management and instrument transfer Educate patients on dental procedures, post-operative care, and oral health instructions Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed to maintain a safe environment Manage health documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinical setting is highly preferred Familiarity with dental assisting for restorative and prosthodontic procedures Knowledge of dental software and dental terminology Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety Knowledge of aseptic techniques, anatomy, and infection control protocols necessary for clinical excellence Mission Statement: We are a team of talented and gifted individuals who are committed to consistently providing "that little extra" in the care of our patients.
