Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote healthy teeth and gums Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while ensuring proper infection control and aseptic techniques Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Review documentation for accuracy, ensure HIPAA compliance, and assist with medical coding for billing purposes Skills Proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control protocols Experience with dental office management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Strong understanding of pediatric dentistry principles and procedures Ability to perform patient care tasks including vital signs measurement and patient assessment Skilled in chairside assisting with a focus on aseptic technique and medical imaging procedures Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, and medical records documentation review Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate with the dental team Join our team where your expertise as a Registered Dental Hygienist will be celebrated!
