Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Rocky Point, NC

Job Summary Healthy, well respected private practice looking for a reliable and professional Dental Hygienist to join our team. This position requires a compassionate individual who is committed to promoting dental hygiene and educating patients about their oral health. Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and vital signs. Conduct dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth. Assist in the development of individualized patient care plans based on assessments. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment. Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive care, including four-handed dentistry techniques. Utilize medical imaging technologies to assist in diagnostics. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical coding for procedures performed. Skills Proficient in patient care and assessment techniques. Knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures. Strong understanding of infection control standards in a dental setting. Experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with medical imaging technologies is an asset. Ability to perform vital sign assessments accurately. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and work collaboratively with the dental team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining patient records and office cleanliness.
