Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Salt Lake City, UT

Job Summary Job Description We are in need of a Dental Assistant to join our team full time Monday through Thursday and last Friday each month. Training may be provided. Responsibilities -Proficiency at 4 handed dentistry in all specialties and capable of learning skills to prepare sites for fillings and treatment. -Taking and tracking all Inventory including maintaining organization and providing weekly reports. -Attending and planning day and goals through daily team huddles. -Ordering all clinical supplies -Cleaning/Sterilizing and maintaining Dental Clinic and facilities -Taking Digital Radiographs -Make sure all patients are brought back to their operatory from the lobby within 5 minutes of arriving for their appointments and that topical is placed promptly -Making sure all pre-op xrays, impressions and scans are completed within the first 10 minutes of patients appointment. -Make sure consent forms have been signed and patients questions have been answered about their scheduled treatment. -Ensuring patients are comfortable and tended to in the operatories. -Maintain the flow of patient appointments and direct Doctor to operatories for patient care and if needed to temporize patients treatment so schedule can be maintained and patients are cared for in within the time alloted. -3D imaging/CAD CAM/Cone Beam -Tracking and submitting all lab cases for invisalign, glidewell, and all crown and denture labs. -Cerec Scanning, Defining margins and electronically/physically submitting to lab, and occassionally designing/processing same day crowns -Zoom Bleaching -Invisalign -Completing detailed notes and completing correct procedure codes during patients scheduled appointment time before dismissing patient. -Performing professional Patient handoffs including commicating to front office coordinators treatment completed on the current day, next treatment/visit scheduled as well as needed treatment patient did not schedule for. -Assisting doctors, hygienists, office manager, and patients in all aspects of dentistry -Ensuring efficiency and flow of procedures and patient appointments Qualifications Candidates must be detail oriented, intelligent and capable of following instructions. They must have a team mentality, a great work ethic and be able to find ways to be stay focused and productive each day. They must maintain a professional relationship with other employees so that they too may remain focused on their job responsibilities. Candidates must be capable of receiving and implementing their training. They need to be willing to adapt and follow new systems and procedures. As part of this they should be able to demonstrate multitasking and time management skills. They should show consistent improvement through the appropriate application of ideas, systems, and methods to improve the patient experience, and to promote the continued growth of the practice. Also candidates should be capable of thinking ahead to anticipate needs. Candidates must have a positive attitude, demonstrate dependability, efficiency, a strong work ethic, and be goal oriented, They should also have excellent people skills including the ability to handle anxious children and adults. All notes and procedures completed must be correctly completing before dismissing the patient following their dental visit/treatment. Additional Information We have an incredible office and team.
