Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during dental procedures and providing excellent patient care. Duties: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing the treatment area, sterilizing instruments, and handing instruments to the dentist - Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist - Perform dental assisting duties such as taking impressions, applying sealants, and placing temporary fillings - Provide chairside support to the dentist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions - Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical documentation systems such as Epic - Schedule patient appointments and handle dental receptionist duties as needed - Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and excellent patient care - Assist with inventory management and ordering of dental supplies Experience: (EXPERIENCE NOT REQUIRED BUT PREFERRED) - Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or relevant position - Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and X-ray development - Strong knowledge of dental assisting procedures, including sterilization techniques and infection control protocols - Familiarity with electronic medical documentation systems such as Epic - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry If you are a motivated individual with a passion for dentistry and providing exceptional patient care, we encourage you to apply.
