Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant (DA) - - Penn Valley, CA

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant or Dental Assistant to join our dental team. You will play a crucial role in supporting the dentist during procedures, ensuring a smooth operation of the dental office, and providing excellent patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. We are open Monday - Thursday, 7:45am-4:30pm. We are open to being flexible with hours. For example 6 hour shifts are a possibility as well. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Utilize 3D scanners for accurate imaging and modeling. Maintain and update patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring impressions or creating temporary crowns. Assist hygienists with charting as needed. Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and answer any questions they may have. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and dental assisting practices is essential. Familiarity with Eaglesoft dental software is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly with patients and team members. Ability to follow instructions accurately while maintaining a positive attitude.
