Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Marshfield, MA

Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and maintained according to infection control standards. Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging systems such as digital X-ray machines and 3D scanners while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Record accurate dental histories, vital signs, and treatment notes in electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Manage medical documentation including medical records, coding, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards. Support front desk operations as needed by handling dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with Epic or similar platforms is a plus. Ability to take accurate X-rays and operate medical imaging equipment including 3D scanners. Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical coding, and medical documentation procedures. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience working with children is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and team members. Certification or training in chairside assisting, infection control, or radiography is preferred.
