Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Fort Myers, FL
We are seeking a licensed and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to providing high-quality preventive dental care and education. This role plays a vital part in promoting oral health and supporting overall patient wellness. Key Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing Take digital dental X-rays (radiographs) Assess patientsâ oral health and document findings Screen patients for oral diseases, including gingivitis and periodontitis Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride and sealants Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care Review medical histories and update patient records Assist the dentist during exams Maintain infection control standards and sterilize instruments Ensure hygiene rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked Provide excellent patient care and ensure a comfortable experience Qualifications Associate or Bachelorâs degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program Current state Dental Hygienist license CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain) Proficiency in dental radiography Knowledge of dental software and electronic health records Skills & Competencies Strong interpersonal and communication skills Attention to detail and excellent clinical skills Compassionate, patient-centered approach Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and time-management skills Team-oriented with a positive attitude Job Type: Part-time Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Work Location: In person
