Position Overview
Sleep Health Partners is seeking a motivated Dental Assistant who is interested in exploring an exciting and growing specialty: medical sleep apnea treatment using oral appliance therapy. This role is ideal for dental assistants who enjoy patient education, medical–dental collaboration, and want to expand their career beyond traditional dentistry.
You will work closely with sleep physicians, dentists, and patients to help diagnose and treat obstructive sleep apnea and sleep-related breathing disorders using custom oral appliances.
Key Responsibilities

Assist the dentist with sleep apnea evaluations and oral appliance therapy

Take dental impressions and intraoral scans for sleep appliances

Educate patients on sleep apnea, treatment options, and appliance care

Assist with appliance fittings, adjustments, and follow-up visits

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records

Coordinate care with sleep physicians and medical offices

Ensure proper infection control and clinical protocols are followed

Provide excellent patient care and support throughout treatment
Qualifications

1–5 years of experience as a Dental Assistant (required)

Dental Assistant certification or licensure per state requirements

Strong interest in sleep medicine and oral appliance therapy

Excellent communication and patient education skills

Comfortable working in a medical–dental hybrid environment

Detail-oriented, organized, and team-focused
