Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Pell City, AL
We are looking for a competent, friendly, professional dental assistant who will help make the dentistâs office more efficient and pleasant for patients. Youâll ensure excellent customer service and work as a highly effective team member with administrative and basic dental tasks. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible. Our best dental assistants can apply and be sponsored for dental hygiene school after two years of continual employment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Welcome customers in the dental office Prepare customers for treatment or checkups ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Schedule appointments Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures Present treatment plans Skills At least 1 year experience as a dental assistant Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Self Motivated with a team mind set Great computer skills using Dentrix is a plus Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Bereavement leave Continuing education credits Dental insurance Employee discount Employee mentoring program Health insurance On-the-job training Opportunities for advancement Paid time off Profit sharing Uniform allowance Vision insurance Application Question(s): Have you attended or graduated from a dental assisting program?
