Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry by providing chairside support and managing dental materials. Take dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper positioning and safety measures are followed to protect patients from unnecessary exposure. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans, and medical coding. Monitor vital signs and medical documentation for patients with special needs or pediatric cases to ensure safety throughout treatment. Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. Support front desk duties as needed by assisting with dental receptionist tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and infection control standards. Proficiency in using EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with Epic or similar platforms is a plus. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely following aseptic techniques and radiation safety guidelines. Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge related to dentistry, including pediatric dentistry considerations when applicable. Experience with chairside assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry and handling dental materials efficiently. Knowledge of medical imaging technology including 3D scanners and general dentistry tools. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and hygienists. Certification in infection control practices; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or prosthodontics are advantageous.
