Experienced Orthodontic Assistant – Back Office (Clinical) Crafted Orthodontics Laguna Hills, CA Part-Time to Full-Time This Role Is for Experienced Orthodontic Assistants This position is only open to candidates with prior orthodontic assisting experience . We are specifically looking for an assistant who is comfortable running bonding appointments independently and who understands the flow, precision, and importance of high-quality starts. That said, we are not looking for someone who is “set in their ways.” We value experience paired with adaptability . You should be confident in your skills while being open to learning our office protocols, techniques, and Dr's personalized approach to orthodontic care . THIS JOB REQUIRES A BACKGROUND CHECK. Who You Are You are someone who: Has strong orthodontic assisting experience Can independently manage bonding appointments (braces, attachments, starts) Brings excellent customer service skills to every interaction Is exceptional with kids and teens , and comfortable guiding parents Thinks critically and can adjust setups based on patient age, behavior, and clinical needs Is detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and proactive Values teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement Clinical Responsibilities Independently assisting and managing bonding/start appointments and going over hygiene as well as instructions Chairside assisting for orthodontic procedures and adjustments Preparing age-appropriate setups and materials (pediatric vs adolescent vs adult patients) Maintaining efficient chair flow and clinical organization Sterilization and infection control protocols Supporting patient comfort, education, and overall experience Taking orthodontic records (photos, digital scans, X-rays) as needed Maintaining a clean, professional, and efficient back office What Sets Crafted Orthodontics Apart Brand-new, modern orthodontic practice Fully digital workflows Digital intraoral scanning 3-D CBCT imaging High attention to detail, patient experience, and long-term outcomes A doctor-led practice that values intentional care over volume What We’re Looking For Beyond Skills Technical skills matter — but mindset matters just as much .
