Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Manage medical documentation, including patient histories, treatment plans, and progress notes. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist while adhering to safety guidelines. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain inventory of dental supplies and ensure the clinic is well-stocked. Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records using Dentrix or similar software. Skills Proficient knowledge of dental clinic operations and procedures. Familiarity with medical documentation practices and terminology. Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control measures. Basic anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry. Experience with medical imaging techniques, particularly in taking X-rays. Knowledge of endodontics procedures is a plus. Ability to effectively use Dentrix or similar dental practice management software. Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and team members effectively.
