Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Gold River, CA
Overview We are looking for a part-time (2 Days in a month) Registered Dental Hygienist where you will play a vital role in promoting oral health and providing exceptional patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills . Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth. Take and document vital signs to ensure patient health and safety. Review patient medical records and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Conduct oral cancer screenings and periodontal assessments. Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment. Utilize Open Dental software for patient management, scheduling, and record keeping. Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans that meet the needs of each patient. Take and develop dental x-rays Sterilize dental instruments and equipment Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities. Skills: Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Experience in a dental office setting preferred Knowledge of dental coding and documentation review processes is advantageous. Strong understanding of infection control procedures and safety protocols within a clinical environment. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages. Proficient in using dental software, particularly Open Dental, for efficient practice management.
